Denville is planning a major community celebration this summer. The township has announced “Denville Days,” a three-day festival at Gardner Field running from July 3 through July 5, timed to honor the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The event is being organized by the Denville Semiquincentennial Committee, a group appointed by Mayor Tom Andes to coordinate the township’s America 250 programming. According to organizers, Gardner Field will be transformed into a full-scale festival venue with live music, family activities, food vendors, and a lineup of attractions spread across the entire holiday weekend.

The schedule includes a Friday night kickoff event featuring a performance by Joey Bella under a big tent. Over the three days, attendees can look forward to a children’s activity area with games and crafts, a beer garden, an arts and crafts market, and picnic spaces for families. Organizers are also planning tethered hot air balloon rides (weather permitting) along with friendly competitions and contests throughout the weekend.

The festival will wrap up with Denville’s traditional fireworks display, a crowd favorite that has drawn residents to Gardner Field for years.

Denville Days is the capstone event in a larger year of commemorative programming put together by the Semiquincentennial Committee. Additional entertainment announcements, sponsorship opportunities, and volunteer info are expected in the weeks ahead. More details at america250denvillenj.org.
