The Denville Library will host a virtual author talk with New York Times bestselling author Javier Zamora on Thursday, November 14th, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Zamora will discuss his memoir, Solito, which recounts his experience migrating alone from El Salvador to the United States as a young child.
In Solito, Zamora details his journey through Guatemala and Mexico, a three-thousand-mile trek he began at just nine years old. Initially expected to take two weeks, the journey lasted two months and involved various challenges, as well as connections with fellow migrants.
This virtual event provides an opportunity to hear from Zamora about his experiences and learn more about the context of childhood migration from Central America. Registration is available through the Denville Library website.
