Morris Knolls Defeats Delbarton in High School Swim Meet Victory

Andrew Lahey and Jake Danish led the charge for Morris Knolls in a 92-77 victory over Delbarton in a boys’ high school swim meet on Friday, Dec. 20, at Morristown-Beard School.

Lahey won the 50-meter freestyle and 100 backstroke. He also contributed to two relays, swimming the lead leg for the winning 200 medley relay team with Nick Tecchio, Adam Margeson, and Chris Boyle, and anchoring the 400 freestyle relay with Danish, Kristian Kipp, and Margeson, which finished second.

Danish grabbed wins in the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle. He was part of the victorious 200 freestyle relay team, joining Boyle, Kipp, and Tecchio, and swam the opening leg of the 400 freestyle relay.

This victory marked the third win in four meets for the Golden Eagles, improving their record in the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) American Division to 2-1. Delbarton, meanwhile, fell to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the division.

Other highlights for Morris Knolls included Margeson winning the 100 butterfly and Tecchio taking first place in the 100 breaststroke.
