A 70-year-old woman from Amsterdam, NY, has been charged with theft by deception, wrongful impersonation, and exhibiting false documents after allegedly using a fake ID to withdraw $9,000 from Provident Bank in Denville, NJ.
Police identified the defendant as Diane Crial following an investigation. Crial was apprehended in Amsterdam, waived extradition, transported to Denville, and processed without incident. Following her arrival, Crial was booked into the Morris County Correctional Facility, where she remains in custody pending a future court appearance.
All charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
