On November 11th, the Denville Police conducted two separate motor vehicle stops involving drivers showing signs of impairment.
The first incident involved a black Nissan sedan observed drifting out of its lane on Route 46 West. During the stop, the driver, identified as Jimmy Joasil, exhibited indicators of intoxication. Joasil was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to police headquarters for processing. Before being released into his wife’s custody, Joasil received several summonses for driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, careless driving, and reckless driving. He is scheduled for a future court appearance in Denville Township Municipal Court.
The second stop, also on November 11th, involved a black Maserati observed failing to stay within its lane on Route 10 West. The driver, Eugene Thomas, showed signs of impairment during the investigation and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. After processing, Thomas was released to the custody of his wife. He was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, careless driving, and reckless driving, with an upcoming appearance scheduled in the Denville Township Municipal Court.
