Denville’s National Night Out returns Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, with the Denville Police Department hosting the free community event from 5 to 9 p.m. at the lower fields at 18 Pocono Road.
The department’s flyer for the night lists bounce houses, a dunk tank, crafts and NJ Safe Kids helmets. Hope One, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office mobile recovery access vehicle, will also be on site.
Agencies scheduled to take part include the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, the Denville Police Department, the Denville Fire Department, animal control and NJ Transit Police. There is no admission charge.
The evening carries a little extra this year. When dangerous heat forced the township to reshuffle its Denville Days schedule over the Fourth of July weekend, Denville said a few of the events planned for that Friday were moved to National Night Out.
National Night Out is a nationwide campaign held on the first Tuesday in August that brings residents and police together in a relaxed setting. Departments across Morris County run their own versions the same evening.
