Jax Edelman, the standout guard who helped Denville’s Morris Catholic High School become one of the best girls basketball programs in the country, is moving on to Blair Academy.
Blair’s official girls basketball page now lists Edelman as a member of the Class of 2028, and her own Instagram account carries the Blair name and the same class year.
The 6-foot guard leaves a Crusaders team that went 24-6 this past winter and closed the season ranked eighth in New Jersey by MaxPreps. The year before, Morris Catholic finished 28-0, won a third straight state title and was named the MaxPreps national champion.
Morris Catholic beat Blair 58-51 in Blairstown on Jan. 9, one of only seven losses for the Buccaneers all season. Blair finished 17-7 and won the Mid-Atlantic Prep League title again in 2026, its 15th league championship since 2011. The prep school has sent dozens of players on to college basketball and counts WNBA player Temi Fagbenle among its graduates.
Edelman has also played internationally. Blair lists her among the athletes in its program who have represented their countries, with Colombia beside her name.
The Morris Catholic girls basketball program plays out of the school’s campus at 200 Morris Ave. in Denville.
