Morris Knolls’ boys lacrosse season ended Monday, June 1, 2026, with a 16-3 loss to Summit in the NJSIAA North Jersey Group 3 quarterfinals. The Golden Eagles finished the year with an 11-10 record.

Summit Takes Control Early

Summit entered the matchup as the No. 2 seed in North Group 3 with a 17-1 record, and the Hilltoppers controlled play from the opening whistle. The visiting program used a fast-paced attack to build a commanding early lead, and Morris Knolls was unable to mount a sustained run in any quarter.

Another Postseason Run for the Golden Eagles

The season represents another playoff appearance for a program that draws students from across Denville and Rockaway Township as part of the Morris Hills Regional District. Morris Knolls earned the No. 7 seed in North Jersey Group 3 after a competitive spring in the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference, with several Morris County rivals on the schedule throughout the year.

Looking Ahead to 2027

With the season finished, the program turns its attention to graduating seniors and the start of preparations for the 2027 campaign. Returning underclassmen will look to build on this year’s playoff experience as the Morris Knolls athletics program readies its summer offseason calendar.
