The Rotary Club of Denville and the Sunrise Rotary Club of Denville will hold their monthly blood drive on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Denville Municipal Building, 1 St. Mary’s Place, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Blood donations across New Jersey have dropped nearly 40 percent following the holiday season and recent winter weather, creating a critical shortage for hospitals. New Jersey Blood Services reports that supplies are currently below the level needed to meet patient demand.
The blood collected at the Denville drive supports local hospitals and is used for emergency care, surgeries, cancer treatment, and ongoing medical needs. January is also National Blood Donor Month, a time when donations are historically lower but demand remains high.
Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Residents can register by visiting nybc.org/sponsor and entering sponsor code 64293, or by calling 1-800-933-2566.
Additional blood drives are scheduled at the same location on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
