La Cucina
The Denville Italian restaurant people bring out of town guests to. La Cucina sits inside the old E.C. Peer and Sons General Store, founded in 1862 along the Morris Canal, and the dining room is still full of vintage tins, photographs and antiques. The recipes are family ones, and the menu leans rich and traditional.
Order the pork osso buco in plum tomato sauce over gnocchi, or one of the house favorites like the lobster ravioli or the short rib ragu. Entrees run roughly $23 to $33. La Cucina also has private party rooms, with party packages for lunch and dinner events.

Denville’s full bar Italian dining room, at Route 46 and Lakewood Drive. Casa Bella serves pastas, antipasto, seafood and an Italian wine list, and it recently expanded its lounge and bar.
The happy hour is one of the best deals in town: 25 percent off the whole menu on Monday from 4 p.m. to close and Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m., plus 25 percent off drinks and appetizers Thursday and Friday from noon to 6 p.m. Reservations are taken through OpenTable, and private dining is available.
