Property tax bills are mailed once a year in July and contain four quarterly payments.

Due dates can shift when the county tax rate is certified late. Denville Now reported that the township extended its grace period through Aug. 26, 2026 after 2026 bills were delayed, and that a tax lien auction opens Sept. 8 and closes Oct. 8, 2026. Denville garbage and recycling schedule
Garbage collection in Denville is twice a week and depends on which side of U.S. Highway 46 you live on.
- North of U.S. Highway 46: Tuesday and Friday
- South of U.S. Highway 46: Monday and Thursday
- Collection begins at 6:00 a.m. Put out up to two 30 gallon containers plus one bulk item per pickup. Loose items must be bagged or in cans, not cardboard boxes.
