Steven Vazquez, 48, of Denville, was arrested on March 12, 2025, after a two-car crash involving a Denville Police vehicle on Cooper Road.
Police responded to the crash at approximately 3:30 PM. During the investigation, Vazquez was determined to be under the influence and was arrested. He was transported to Denville Police Headquarters for processing and later charged with DWI, assault by auto, reckless driving, and other traffic-related offenses. Vazquez was released pending a mandatory court appearance.
A criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
