The Denville Public Library has opened registration for its 2026 Summer Reading Program, and any local family with young readers can sign up now.
The program is open to Denville residents from age 0, including pre-readers, up through children entering seventh grade in the fall of 2026. There is no minimum reading requirement. The library’s message to families is simple: just do your best.
Every registered child is automatically entered into Weekly Grab Bag Raffles, which the library describes as mystery bags filled with crafts, stickers, and stuffed animals. Each week the library also emails participants a list of Grand Prizes, and every child can pick up to three choices to be entered into a Weekly Grand Prize drawing, no matter how much or how little they have read. Weekly prize drawings begin the week of June 22.
Registration for individual summer events typically opens on Fridays at noon, so families are encouraged to check back each week. Parents should register each child separately through the library’s Summer Reading Program page.
This year’s program is backed by a long list of sponsors, including the New York Giants, the New York Jets, Liberty Science Center, the Adventure Aquarium, the Crayola Experience, and local spots like Castle Cove Mini Golf and Morristown Game Vault.
The Denville Public Library is at 121 Diamond Spring Road and can be reached at 973-627-6555. Reading logs, book suggestions, and the full prize details are posted on the library’s children’s pages.
