New Jersey Natural Gas will hold four in-person Energy Assistance Days in Morris County this fall, starting Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, in Mine Hill.
The utility, which serves Denville and much of western Morris County, is running 27 of the sessions across Monmouth, Ocean and Morris counties between September and November. Denville Township posted the schedule to its website on Sept. 4.
At each stop, NJNG staff work alongside community action agency caseworkers to review a customer’s options, check eligibility and help fill out applications on the spot. Programs covered include the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, the Universal Service Fund, the Lifeline Credit Program and weatherization help through Comfort Partners and NJNG’s SaveGreen program.

Mine Hill, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mine Hill Community Center, 12 Baker St.
Parsippany, Monday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Parsippany Senior Community Center, 1130 Knoll Road.
Victory Gardens, Monday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nourish Victory Gardens, 347 S. Salem St., Dover.
Randolph, Thursday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., West Morris Area YMCA, 14 Dover Chester Road.
Anyone going should bring Social Security cards for everyone in the household, proof of income for every member 18 and older, a mortgage or tax bill or a rental lease, and recent natural gas and electric bills.
Eligibility for the state Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric program in 2026 tops out at $83,344 for a single-person household and $160,276 for a household of four.
