The Denville Environmental Commission brings its annual Green Fair back to the Denville Farmers’ Market on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Twelve guest exhibitors will set up in the center of the market in the Bloomfield Avenue parking lot downtown, according to the Commission’s Green Sustainability Committee. The lineup includes POWWW, the NJ Highlands Coalition, the Denville Public Library, the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, Morris 4-H, the Rutgers NJAES Master Gardeners, Tamerlaine Wildlife Sanctuary, the Rutgers Environmental Stewards, Morris County Shade Tree, the NJ SWP Watershed Ambassadors, the Ayres/Knuth Farm Foundation and the Denville Beautification Committee.
The Environmental Commission and its Green Sustainability Committee will staff their own tent as well, and the committee says free bags will be handed out.
The pitch on the flyer is simple: ask questions, learn stuff. Residents can walk the row of tables while they shop the market and get answers on native plants, recycling, water quality, trees and local open space from the people who work on those issues in Morris County.
The Green Sustainability Committee is now in its 14th year and is made up of resident volunteers and appointed township officials. It was aligned under the Environmental Commission in 2024 through Ordinance 23-23. The committee is also Denville’s channel to Sustainable Jersey, a program the township has been certified through since 2010. Denville holds Silver level certification for the 2023 to 2026 cycle.
The Green Fair is free and no registration is required. The Denville Farmers’ Market runs every Sunday in the Bloomfield Avenue lot, and parking and directions are posted on the market’s site.
