The Denville Township Board of Education meets Monday, July 20, 2026, at Denville Municipal Hall, and the session comes with a schedule change residents should note.
The board’s July meeting was originally set for Monday, July 13. District officials pushed it back one week, to Monday, July 20, according to a notice posted on the Denville Township School District website. Executive session begins at 7 p.m. and the public session opens at 7:30 p.m. at 1 Saint Mary’s Place.
July is one of four months the board combines its work session and regular meeting into a single night, along with August, November and December. That makes Monday the only board meeting on the calendar this month, and the last one before the September 14 work session.
It is also the first regular meeting under new district leadership. Dr. Sandra Cullis took over as superintendent of schools on July 1, succeeding Dr. Steven Forte, who retired June 30 after 12 years leading the district. Cullis spent more than a decade as Denville’s assistant superintendent of curriculum, instruction and assessment before the board promoted her in January.
Residents who cannot attend in person can watch and comment remotely through Google Meet. The district posts the join link, dial-in number and access PIN on its Board of Education meeting page. Public comment is accepted both from people in the room and from those joining online.
The board’s remaining 2026 meeting dates are August 17, September 14 and 28, October 12 and 26, November 16 and December 14.
