The Denville Township Board of Education meets Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, its last scheduled session before students return to class on Sept. 8.
The meeting is a combined work session and regular meeting, one of four the board holds in that format each year. It takes place at Denville Town Hall, 1 Saint Mary’s Place, beginning with a closed executive session at 7 p.m. and a public session at 7:30 p.m.
Residents who cannot attend in person can join remotely through Google Meet or by phone. Public comment is accepted from those in the room and from remote participants under board Policy 0167.

The district’s three schools, Lakeview and Riverview elementary schools and Valleyview Middle School, open for students on Tuesday, Sept. 8. After Monday, the board’s next work session is set for Sept. 14, followed by a regular meeting on Sept. 28.
The Board of Education office is located at Town Hall, 1 St. Mary’s Place, on the second floor.
