The Denville Volunteer Fire Department is marking 100 years of service with its annual Firemen’s Carnival, returning to Fireman’s Field on Indian Road from Tuesday, July 14 through Saturday, July 18, 2026.
The five night event is the department’s biggest fundraiser of the year and doubles as a centennial celebration for the all volunteer company, which was founded in 1926 and still answers every fire call in the township. Gates open at 6 p.m. each night.
This year’s midway will feature more than 12 rides and over 30 classic carnival games, along with a full food lineup that includes seafood, hand made pizza, funnel cake, and a beer garden for the adults.
Proceeds from the carnival help pay for the firefighting equipment, training, and gear that keep Denville’s crews ready to respond at all hours without pay. The town still relies entirely on volunteers to staff its fire response, a tradition that stretches back a full century in Morris County.
Ride wristbands and game tickets are sold on site each night. Residents can find nightly updates, weather notes, and wristband details on the Denville Volunteer Fire Department events page. The carnival runs rain or shine unless organizers announce a weather closure.
