The Pasta Shop on First Avenue in Denville is the No. 1 pasta place in the country, according to Yelp’s newly released Top 100 Pasta Places of 2026 list.
Yelp said it built the ranking by pulling businesses from its pasta shops category and scoring them on factors that include the total volume and ratings of reviews. To keep the list geographically diverse, no state could place more than 10 businesses. The final 100 span 33 states plus Washington, D.C., and the list was timed to National Pasta Day on Oct. 17.
The Denville shop finished ahead of Eataliana Homemade Pasta in Shelby Township, Mich., Forma Pasta Factory in Brooklyn, N.Y., Albano’s Pasta Shop in Valparaiso, Ind., and Pasta Fresca in Reno, Nev., which round out the top five.
Three other New Jersey spots made the cut: Pasta Volo in Asbury Park at No. 8, L&D Sapore Ravioli & Cheese in Middlesex at No. 57 and Mavi’s Pizza and Pasta in Fort Lee at No. 65. The Pasta Shop is the only Morris County entry.
Yelp’s entry for the Denville spot highlights pasta made fresh every day and a gluten-free pasta produced on a separate, dedicated machine.
The Pasta Shop is at 13 First Avenue. According to its website, it is open Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 9 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday. The shop can be reached at 973-253-4143 and notes that it cannot take orders by email.
