Bestselling author Waubgeshig Rice will discuss his new novel, Moon of the Turning Leaves, in a virtual event on February 11 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. The book is a sequel to Moon of the Crusted Snow and continues the story of Evan Whitesky and his community as they navigate life after a mysterious catastrophe.
Set over a decade after the blackout that led to societal collapse, the novel follows Evan and his daughter as they embark on a journey south in search of new opportunities. The discussion will explore dystopian themes from an Indigenous perspective, touching on survival, resilience, and cultural identity.
