New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission locations will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The closure applies to all MVC motor vehicle agencies, road test locations, and inspection stations. Facilities will resume normal operations for the rest of the week and will be open on Saturday, January 17.

While in-person locations will be closed for the holiday, the MVC website remains available 24/7. Residents can access more than 25 online services, book appointments for future visits, and find answers to common questions.

Many motor vehicle services can be completed online. Appointments are required for most in-person transactions, including permits, driver testing, license and document renewals, REAL ID services, and new titles or registrations.
