Mount Tabor

Mount Tabor is the historic Methodist camp meeting village founded in 1869 on a wooded hill on the Denville border, formally part of Parsippany-Troy Hills Township. Its 130 acre historic district holds 229 buildings, including the gingerbread trimmed Stick Style and Gothic Revival cottages that grew out of the original summer tent sites, and it was added to the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places in 2015. Mount Tabor is one of the most distinctive places in Morris County and its events, house tours and preservation news draw visitors from well outside Denville.
