Throttle Racing Club, the new motorsports themed coffee shop at 27A East Main Street, will hold its grand opening on Saturday, June 13, 2026, less than two weeks after smoke from the fire that gutted neighboring Cafe Crevier forced the shop to push back its debut.
The grand opening runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m. that Mayor Tom Andes is expected to attend. Opening day will feature coffee, pastries, a live DJ, and the shop’s professional racing simulators, with simulator time available first come, first served.
Owners and lifelong friends Chris Soto and Steve Osorio held a soft opening on May 31. Less than 36 hours later, an overnight fire heavily damaged Cafe Crevier and neighboring businesses on East Main Street. The flames never reached Throttle Racing Club, but smoke forced the partners to replace ceiling panels, insulation, and a large portion of their food and coffee inventory, pushing the grand opening from its original June 6 date.
The cafe pairs immersive racing simulators with a menu of premium coffee, light bites, and pastries. The house coffee is sourced from a small family farm in Colombia owned by relatives of the owners’ wives, Lena and Laura, who also help run the business.
Cafe Crevier and the attached bakery Chocolatine sustained heavy fire and structural damage in the June 2 blaze. The cause remains under investigation by the Denville Police Department and the Morris County Fire Marshal’s Office.
