Denville’s mail-in ballot drop box is open for the Nov. 3, 2026 general election, one of 31 official drop boxes Morris County has placed across the county.
The Denville box sits outside the main entrance of the Denville Municipal Building at 1 St. Mary’s Place. Morris County opens its drop boxes roughly 45 days before each election, and every box is locked at 8 p.m. on Election Day. A mail-in ballot dropped after that deadline will not be collected.
All 31 boxes are outdoors and under 24-hour surveillance, and county representatives handle every pickup. They are shaped like a USPS mailbox but are red, white and blue, and each one is marked as an official Morris County ballot drop box in English and Spanish.
Denville voters who would rather cast a ballot in person before Election Day can do that in the same building. The Denville Municipal Building is one of eight early voting locations in Morris County, and the sites are open Oct. 24 through Nov. 1.
Residents who are not on the rolls yet have until Oct. 13 to register for the general election. On Nov. 3, polling places across Morris County are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
One rule changed this year. The Morris County Board of Elections has extended the zone where electioneering is prohibited from 100 feet to 200 feet, both around polling places and around any ballot drop box in use during an election.
