The Rock Ridge Community Club will hold its seventh annual Rock Ridge Turkey Trot 5K and Food Drive on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2026, starting at 9 a.m. in front of the club’s clubhouse at 53 Entrance Way in Denville.

The course winds along the roads around Rock Ridge Lake, and the lake community runs it every year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Runners, walkers and families are all welcome.

In-person registration for the 5K is $30 through the race’s RunSignup page, and sign-ups stay open until 8:50 a.m. on race morning. Registrants receive a cold-weather giveaway, and awards donated by Denville businesses go to the fastest overall male and female finishers.

A free kids fun run follows the 5K at about 10 a.m., though organizers say that time can shift depending on turnout. Kids who take part get treats afterward.

Roads will stay open to traffic during the race, so organizers are asking participants to use caution on the course. Drivers in the Rock Ridge neighborhood should expect runners and walkers on the road Sunday morning.

The event doubles as a food drive. Bring nonperishable items to the start, and the club will donate them to local food pantries. The race page points donors to a list of the most-needed items.

The Rock Ridge Community Club is a member-based, volunteer-run organization. Looking for more ways to give back this season? Denville Adopt a Family is open for 2026, and our Denville events calendar tracks what’s happening around town.
