In-person early voting for the Nov. 3, 2026 general election opens Saturday, Oct. 24 at eight centers across Morris County, and one of them is right here in Denville at 1 Saint Mary’s Place.

The centers stay open for nine straight days, through Sunday, Nov. 1. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, according to Morris County’s early voting locations page. No appointment is needed, and early voters cast their ballots on a voting machine.

The other seven locations are: Boonton Township, 155 Powerville Road; Central Park of Morris County, 2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains; Hanover, 15 N. Jefferson Road, Whippany; Madison, 50 Kings Road; Morristown, 200 South Street; Mount Arlington, 18 North Glen Avenue; and Mount Olive, 204 Flanders-Drakestown Road.

The New Jersey Division of Elections tells voters to pick the most convenient early voting site in their county and the day that works best for them. The state lists the posted hours as minimums.

If you already have a mail-in ballot, you cannot turn it in at a polling place. The state says completed mail ballots can be sent through the mail postmarked by Election Day, left in a secure drop box by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3, or handed in at the county Board of Elections office by 8 p.m. that day. Here is where to find Denville’s ballot drop box.

On Election Day itself, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The county said sample ballots were to be mailed by noon on Oct. 21. Questions go to the Morris County Board of Elections at 973-285-6715, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
