MCST Academy Info Sessions Set for Oct. 10, 2026 in Denville

Eighth graders across Morris County who are weighing a spot in one of the county’s career academies can get a look inside the Morris County School of Technology in Denville on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, when the Morris County Vocational School District hosts two information sessions at the East Main Street campus.

The sessions start at 9 a.m. and noon at MCST, 400 East Main Street. Students and parents will tour the building, meet current students and instructors, and learn how admissions work. Admission is free, but families are asked to register ahead of time through the district’s full-time academy admissions page. A third MCST session is set for Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m.

The academy application is open now and closes Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026. Students apply during the fall of their eighth-grade year.

MCST is home to 11 academies: Animal Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering, Biotechnology, Computer and Information Sciences, Design, Education and Learning, Global Commerce (Finance and Supply Chain Management), Government and Legal Studies (Early College), Health Care Science, Law and Public Safety, and Multimedia.

The rest of the district’s academies are hosted at partner high schools, and each holds its own 6:30 p.m. session: Performing Arts (Dance or Theater Arts and Musical Theater) at Morris Knolls High School on Oct. 15, Business Administration (Early College) at Randolph High School on Oct. 22, Math, Science and Engineering at Morris Hills High School on Oct. 27, and Aviation and Sports Medicine at Roxbury High School and Environmental Science in Jefferson, all on Oct. 28.
