A 37-year-old Rockaway man faces drug charges after a late-night traffic stop in Denville on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, according to the Denville Police Department.
Officers spotted a vehicle heading east on Route 46 at about 11 p.m. with dark window tint and a license plate that was blocked from view, police said. They pulled the car over on Route 53 South.
Police identified the driver as Angelo Pezzino. During the stop, officers saw what they described as signs of possible drug use in plain view, and a further investigation turned up crack cocaine, cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to the department.
Pezzino was arrested and taken to Denville police headquarters for processing. He was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense. He also received motor vehicle summonses for operating a vehicle while in possession of narcotics, obstructing the view through the windshield and improperly displaying a license plate.
He was released pending a future court date in Morris County Superior Court.
