Denville residents have one more scheduled chance to put their own brushstrokes into the Rotary Club of Denville’s Unity Tree mosaic: a community painting session on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at Denville Town Hall.
The club is gifting the town a large mosaic made from individually painted tiles, and it plans to install the finished piece somewhere in Denville to stay on display for years to come. The club’s flyer calls for 400 tiles in all. An installation site has not been announced.
The session is in the Community Room at Town Hall, 1 St. Mary’s Place. Painters must be at least 13 years old, and no art experience is needed, since volunteers guide each participant on arrival. The club asks people to sign up ahead of time through the registration link on its Unity Tree mosaic page, and its flyer says walk-ins are welcome. No fee is listed.
Painting began with four sessions in late August and September, including the Sept. 30 paint night that was billed at the time as the last one. The club later added Saturday dates on Oct. 17 and Nov. 14. With October’s session done, Nov. 14 is the only date left on the club’s posted schedule.
It is a busy Saturday morning in town: the township’s free rabies clinic also runs Nov. 14, from 8 to 10 a.m. If you are planning other business at Town Hall, our guide to Denville Municipal Building hours and offices has the details.
The Rotary Club of Denville is a 501(c)(3) service club led this year by President Diane Vezzuto. The club marks its 80th anniversary in March 2027.
